Frequently asked questions about opening a bank account in Poland

Can I open a bank account in Poland online?

No, if it is a corporate account for a company. If you want to open an account for yourself as an individual, some banks allow you to do it online. But most likely, you will need a PESEL, Polish registration or even a residence card. It all depends on the requirements of the specific bank.

Can I open an account without PESEL?

Yes, banks sometimes open accounts only with a foreign passport. But for convenience, we help to obtain a PESEL, which may be needed later.

Can I open an account remotely?

Most traditional banks require personal presence. But we can either act by proxy or select an online bank with a Polish IBAN.

Will there be problems with KYC if I am a crypto investor?

Potentially yes. But we know how to handle it. The main thing is to properly prepare financial justification, ownership structure, and sources of income.

Can I later withdraw money or use the account for SWIFT?

Of course. You will get a full IBAN account that supports SEPA and SWIFT. You will be able to receive and send payments to other countries.
